We are often called upon to assist you in the assessment of biomedical and toxicological impacts including “risk assessments” associated with exposure to environmental toxins.
Working with physicians and other health care professionals, we are the connection and translator between medical professionals, legal counsel, affected parties and the Court. With our understanding of how toxins move through the environment (e.g., air, land and/or water), the mechanics of exposure (e.g., ingestion, inhalation, and absorption), the relationship of dose, dose rate and duration of exposure, competing risks and the biomedical implications of exposure, we bridge the gap between the medical expert and the attorney during case preparation and testimony.
Our biomedical and/or toxicological assessments involve a wide spectrum of contaminant types and exposure media for both indoor and outdoor exposure scenarios.
We also develop field data pertaining to contaminant concentrations in environmental media and point of exposure calculations for use in determining potential causal relationships and associated probability analysis. |
